Oleg Kisselev

IRB Vice Chair

Oleg Kisselev, PhD, Castle IRB Vice Chair, is a Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology and Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Saint Louis University (SLU) School of Medicine. Dr. Kisselev is the former Administrative Chairman of SLU IRB (2011-2021), a leadership position responsible for protecting the rights and welfare of human research participants and for reviewing research involving human subjects at SLU for scientific integrity and compliance with federally mandated guidelines and regulations. He has recently served as the Associate Dean for Clinical Research as well as the Associate Dean of the Clinical Trials Office (2019-2022) responsible for the financial, business and regulatory management of Clinical Trials at SLU. Dr. Kisselev continues an active research program at SLU that focuses on the mechanism of phototransduction and retinal degenerative diseases.
